Options / Upgrades for New / Existing Kits
ALUMINUM IN-WING 10 GALLON FUEL TANKS **NEW ITEM**
We are now offering our new 10 Gallon aluminum in-wing tank system: This can either be used to replace the old ASAP in-wing and strut tanks, or can be added as an upgrade to a new kit. It will require the wings to be removed for installation.
For those who are budget minded and want to make their own tanks we offer everything necessary to build your own: includes metal cut to size, glue, rivets, filler neck, cap and mounting flange, and tank fittings.
Consists of all of the above but is ready to install. Does not include installation hardware.
This sub-kit includes two 10 Gallon capacity tanks, piping and plumbing lines, fuel selector valves, header tank, and additional in-wing structural components. It is highly recommended that an additional electric fuel pump be installed with this sub-kit (not included).
ALUMINUM SEAT **NEW ITEM**
Replaces original ASAP style fiberglass seats or as an upgrade to a new kit. Very strong, lighter and larger seat base (for larger people) includes all hardware for installation. Net weight 5.1 pounds. Please note these seats require longer seatbelts.
CROW HARNESS SEAT BELTS
Crow 4-point, latch and link harnesses. Included in all new kits but may be retrofitted to older kits as an upgrade.
The black quilted leatherette comes in pre-cut pieces to fit nicely inside your cabin to complete the look of your cabin interior.
METALLIZED FUSELAGE SUB-KIT **NEW ITEM**
Replacement aluminum parts for fabric used to cover sides of fuselage. Strengthens fuselage structure for short landings with limited weight penalty of approximately 6 lbs. Sub-kit includes precut panels and rivets. May be purchased as an upgrade.
LOWER LEXAN PANELS
For even greater visibility, we offer lower lexan panels that replace the standard fabric in the very front lower panels. This allows you to see everything in front and below you, almost gives the effect of being in a helicopter.
ALUMINUM WING CENTER COVER
Aluminum wing center cover replaces the previously used standard fabric center cover joining the two wings. We offer two versions one without ‘lobes’ and one with “lobes’. Version without “lobes” standard in all new kits, may be upgraded to one with “lobes”. Either version may be purchased as an upgrade to an existing aircraft. Cover attached using cable, turnbuckles and carabiners which enables easy removal if required. Attachment items included in kit.
ALUMINUM FIREWALL COVER
Replaces the standard fabric back panel with sturdy aluminum giving space to add insulation between the engine area and the back seat. Comes cut to fit and with mounting hardware. Included in all new kits, may be purchased as an upgrade for an existing aircraft.
FLAPERON HANDLE RELOCATION KIT
Relocates the flaperon handle from above the pilot’s head to the left-hand side of pilot seat enabling the flaperon to be more easily operated. This kit utilizes some of the parts already on the airframe but comes with all mounting plates, hardware and control cable.
FULL SWIVEL TAILWHEEL KIT
Replaces old ASAP tailwheel with a Matco full swivel tailwheel, aluminum leafspring, all mounting items included. Standard on all new kits, an easy retrofit for existing aircraft.
